Why is Windows 7 good for business?
I was surprised and fascinated to see that during December one of the major search terms used on the IRIS web site www.iris.co.uk was Windows 7. It has highlighted how their key messages for Windows 7 around ease of use, speed and security strike a chord with the world of business, as well as home and consumer users.
Our own experience has identified significant advantages for our users over previous versions, particularly in the areas of ease of use, ergonomics, performance and efficiency.
As a Microsoft Partner we intend to have certified support for Microsoft Windows 7 in all our Windows based products by the end of 2010 and in many cases, sooner. We already support it within several of our flagship legal and accountancy practice solutions and new versions of our accounting, payroll, charity, project management, membership and other solutions will adopt the new Microsoft operating system as part of the next two rounds of enhancements and updates.
All in all good news for our customers and the industry.
